Look to Jesus as you Lament Injustice

Amidst oppression under the sun, Solomon advises the audience to be personally aware of suffering, to affirm the truth of God's judgment, and to appreciate God's tender compassion which comes ultimately in Christ Jesus. 

Find Peace in God's Plans

In Ecclesiastes 3:1-15 Solomon encourages the hearer to receive each season as a providential gift, to remember we're made for eternity, and increasingly relate to God in humility. 

Enjoy Jesus Amidst the Exhaustion of Life

Solomon acknowledges that death and despair may otherwise defeat us, until we look above the sun and see Jesus who pleased the Father and now invites us to enjoy him even when exhausted in life. 

Depend on God For True Delight | Ecclesiastes 2:1-11

Solomon shows us that self-centered consumption, creation, and celebration are meaningless. Instead of settling for delight under the sun, Solomon instead encourages us to find our greatest delight in the God who reigns above the sun. 

Learn to Appreciate the Lord | Ecclesiastes 1:12-18

The Preacher shows us that secular smarts won't satisfy, but are instead a means God may use to help us learn fresh appreciation for the Lord. Therefore, the Preacher encourages us to learn what God gives, what man lacks, and what the Greater Solomon, Jesus, provides. 

Ecclesiastes 1:1-11

The Preacher opens our journey through Ecclesiastes by presenting a world in which we need hope above the sun instead of settling for life under the sun. Amidst the empty misery, endless monotony of imagining life without God, Solomon prompts us to see that the only truly new and satisfying thing is knowing God through faith in Jesus Christ who offers the eternal ministry of salvation.

Follow Jesus As a Church Family | Philippians 4:20-23

Paul's last words to the Philippian church reveal his devotion to them and desire for them to live as holy siblings, heavenly citizens, and humble sojourners in Christ Jesus. 

Give for Eternal Glory | Philippians 4:14-20

Generous financial giving is the result of contentment in Christ and in pursuit of glory to God. Therefore, Paul commends the believer to give for eternal gain by partnering in the church as family, pursuing eternal fruit, and persevering by faith in God's provision. 

Live in the Lord's Peace | Philippians 4:8-9

The Apostle Paul exhorts the church to ponder praiseworthy things in their brain, practice godly things in their body, and persevere by believing God goes with them into whatever the future holds.
